The UK Chandler Medical Center is home of the 473-bed UK Hospital, UK Children's Hospital, and the Markey Cancer Center.  Surgical anesthesia is provided in the 18 Operating rooms of the UK operating room suite,  the 8 ORs of the Advanced Center for Surgery (Ambulatory surgery), and the 2 ORs of the Birthing Center.  Other related care is delivered in the Pain Treatment Center, Trauma Intensive Care Unit, Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit, and Surgical intensive Care Unit.
